Qatar Airways Cargo increases winter belly capacity operations

As reported by Qatar Airways, the airline is significantly increasing its flight frequencies this winter to accommodate the surge in demand during peak season. Notably, London will see a record rise to 10 daily flights, while São Paulo and Tokyo are also set for enhanced service.

The expanded capacity will cover regions across Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Americas. This strategic enhancement includes over 3,700 tonnes of additional weekly cargo uplift through major hubs such as Frankfurt and Bangkok.

This initiative solidifies Qatar Airways Cargo’s status as a key player in global logistics by utilizing Hamad International Airport’s strategic location alongside its extensive network of over 60 freighter routes and more than 170 passenger destinations.

Qatar Airways Cargo increases belly-hold capacity on major routes

Qatar Airways Cargo is stepping up its operations this winter with increased belly-hold flight frequencies alongside scheduled freighter services to vital international markets. The airline’s commitment is evident with London experiencing an unprecedented jump from eight to ten daily flights—its highest frequency ever—while Zanzibar will soon benefit from widebody aircraft service.

Situated at a crucial junction between Europe, Asia, and Africa, Hamad International Airport remains integral to global trade dynamics. This winter marks an enhancement in connectivity along significant trade routes that further cements Qatar Airways’ role as a bridge linking East and West.

“With our extensive network comprising over 60 freighter destinations and more than 170 passenger locations worldwide,” stated Mark Drusch, Chief Officer Cargo at Qatar Airways Cargo. “We view excellence as an ongoing journey rather than a final goal. We are constantly optimizing our capacity and operations to adapt to market fluctuations—especially during peak seasons. These frequency enhancements demonstrate our dedication to providing dependable cargo solutions globally.”
