ONE Innovation Sets New Container Record

The ONE Innovation is en route to Europe, carrying a record-breaking load of 22,233 TEU (twenty-foot equivalent units). This marks the largest cargo ever transported on a single container ship, according to the shipping line. The massive vessel, classified as a Megamax, is currently traveling along the FE4 route and is scheduled to stop at Felixstowe before heading to Rotterdam.

Felixstowe, the UK’s largest container port, frequently accommodates enormous ships. In July, Evergreen’s Ever Atop set a UK draft record at 16.85 meters, and in early August 2025, sister ships like the ONE Intelligence made their debut visits.

ONE Innovation Among the World’s Largest Container Ships

These visits underscore the significance of recent deepening projects by Harwich Haven Authority, which have enhanced the port’s ability to handle vessels of this scale.

After its stop in Felixstowe, the ONE Innovation is expected to reach Rotterdam on the morning of Thursday, September 9.

Measuring over 400 meters long and 61 meters wide, the ONE Innovation ranks among the largest operational container ships globally. It is one of six 24,000 TEU vessels built for Ocean Network Express. With its striking bright pink hull and record-setting cargo, the ship is a remarkable sight.
