Yang Ming Marine Transport Corporation, based in Taiwan, has placed an order with South Korean shipbuilder Hanwha Ocean for the construction of seven dual-fuel container vessels.
These advanced ships, capable of operating on both traditional fuels and liquefied natural gas (LNG), are set to be delivered between 2028 and 2029. The total value of the contract is estimated to range from US$1.364 billion to US$1.531 billion.
