On Thursday, August 21, 2025, Lufthansa Cargo unveiled its winter 2025/26 schedule, promising enhanced flexibility and expanded transport solutions. With Frankfurt as a central hub, the schedule also highlights diverse routing options through Munich, Vienna, Brussels, and Rome-Fiumicino (FCO).

A key development this season is the deepened collaboration with ITA Airways. Starting late October, Lufthansa Cargo will market the majority of ITA Airways’ belly capacities on both continental and intercontinental routes under its own AWB number, significantly boosting belly-hold capacity across ITA Airways’ global network.

CEO Ashwin Bhat: A Commitment to Global Connectivity

Ashwin Bhat, CEO of Lufthansa Cargo, emphasized the company’s dedication to enabling global business:
“Our winter flight schedule clearly demonstrates that ‘Enabling Global Business’ is not just our purpose, but something we embody every day at Lufthansa Cargo. By marketing additional belly capacities from ITA Airways and strengthening our belly network, as well as offering an even broader freighter flight schedule, we can provide our customers with more connections than before.

Nevertheless, we continue to review our network on an ongoing basis, remaining in close dialogue with our customers so that we can continue to provide flexible and reliable transport solutions and respond to changing trade flows.”

New Destinations and Expanded Frequencies

The winter schedule introduces increased frequencies and new destinations. Austrian Airlines will now offer up to two daily connections from Vienna (VIE) to Bangkok (BKK). Meanwhile, Brussels Airlines is expanding its reach to Africa, adding weekly connections to Lomé (LFW, Togo), Dakar (DSS, Senegal), Conakry (CKY, Guinea), Monrovia (ROB, Liberia), Accra (ACC, Ghana), and Freetown (FNA, Sierra Leone).

Discover Airlines will also debut a new service between Frankfurt (FRA) and the Seychelles (SEZ), further diversifying the Lufthansa Group’s offerings.

Asia-Pacific and Beyond: A Global Reach

Lufthansa Cargo is ramping up its presence in the Asia-Pacific region with up to 50 weekly frequencies to 17 destinations. Almaty (ALA) returns as a cargo destination in Central Asia, while the transpacific route from Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) to Los Angeles (LAX) will now include a stopover in Shanghai (PVG).

In North America, customers can access 28 weekly services to 11 destinations, while South America will see four weekly services to four destinations.

Short and Medium-Haul Enhancements

From October 26, 2025, Lufthansa Cargo will offer 37 weekly flights to 20 destinations across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, departing from Frankfurt and Munich. The Airbus A321F network has also been bolstered with the addition of a cargo station in Beirut (BEY), which opened in July.

Booking Opens October 5, 2025

The winter 2025/26 schedule, effective October 26, 2025, will be available for booking starting October 5. Lufthansa Cargo’s freighter services span 53 destinations, complemented by additional capacity on up to 7,500 weekly flights to over 350 destinations, operated by Lufthansa Airlines, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Discover Airlines, ITA Airways, and SunExpress.
